Hey, my Top Five Marin theater productions of 2013 are in today’s Marin Independent Journal! Head over yonder and check ‘em out!
AlterTheater’s latest world premiere, by 90-year-old Marin theater veteran Ann Brebner, proves a sweet depiction of a family helping each other through grief. My review of The Dead Girl is on the Marin Independent Journal website.
I have not one but two features in today’s Marin Independent Journal. First up is a story examining the future of the Fringe of Marin festival after the death of founder Annette Lust, and then a chat with Ann Brebner about breaking new ground in playwriting at the age of 90 with The Dead Girl at AlterTheater, and about her many years in Marin theater.
When I posted my Top Ten shows of the year earlier this week, one may or may not have noticed that there weren’t any North Bay shows on my list, despite my part-time gig as theater critic for the Marin Independent Journal.
I’ve had to take a break from the blog the last couple of weeks for a wide assortment of reasons, but I do have a review in today’s Marin Independent Journal, of AlterTheater’s production of Jose Rivera’s References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot.
I reviewed AlterTheater’s commissioned world premiere of a Lauren Yee play in today’s Marin Independent Journal, so hie thee over yonder to check it out.
Show #103: Intimate Apparel, AlterTheater, October 10.
I reviewed both ACT and AlterTheater’s new shows for today’s Marin Independent Journal, so you can check out my Round and Round the Garden review here and my Owners review here. Or pick up a copy if you’re in the North Bay, because it looks way better in print.
